I wonder if Benjamin R Cooley, Sr could have married in Illinois. Here is
the info on Benjamin Rush Cooley’s first wife:

I haven't been able to locate a marriage for Elizabeth E (Richardson)
Burnett & Benjamin R Cooley, though.
Benjamin Rush Cooley is on the 1930 census enumerated with his
brother-in-law, William A Williams:
15 Apr 1930, page 144
OR, Coos Co., Bunker Hill, ED 27
family 62:
Williams, William A, Head, Own $800, m/w, 56, widowed, IL/IL/IL, Sectore?,
Peanetuory (I think this is penitentiary)
Cooley, Ben R, Brother-in-law, m/w, 77, widowed, MO/MO/MO, chores, Home
Ray, Mansferd B, Roomer, m/w, 33, married, M1st_at_28, AR/IL/AR, laborer, odd
jobs
The 1890 marriage may be for another Tempie Cooley to Arthur Williams. I
found a black Tempie Cooley Williams on an Illinois census.
Anyway, it appears that Tempie did not have any children:
13 Jun 1900, page 249
OR, Coos Co., Coos River, ED 11
family 104:
Williams, Arther, Head, w/m, Mar 1866, 34, married 10 yrs, IL/IL/IL,
Carpenter, Rents
Williams, Tempie, Wife, w/f, Mar 1866, 34, married 10 yrs, 0/0 children,
MO/MO/MO
Huntly, John, G-father, w/m, Mar 1812, 88, widowed, OH/OH/OH
