The CFAA meeting is happening this summer at Salt Lake City. The DC
meeting was a lot of fun. I'm sure we'll spend time in the genealogical
library. You don't need to be a member to attend. But members get access
to the online genealogy database, which I haven't looked at in a long
time. (It used to connect us to the Dutch Cools, but I put up a stink and
it's since been fixed.) Membership also provides a copy of the Cooley
Communique, for which I've now written five articles on genetic genealogy.
As far as the website goes, I managed to have the reference to the Dutch
Kools removed.
That we're CTS4179 negative doesn't rule out Viking descent. "Viking" is
just a nickname for the marker. Undoubtedly, there were other haplogroups
represented among the population.
