Don requested the test last week or so. I think they normally take 2 or 3
weeks to come through.
The newer SNPs haven't been well-dated yet. I think a much larger dataset
is needed before population geneticists can put a finger on it. The best
that can be said is that these SNP are subclades.
I don't feel as anxious about this as I once did. Since the Big Y came
online, newer SNPs are being found all the time. We're actually in a
fortunate position. Some who wants to go downstream from R-M256, for
example, have too many choices to test individually. We can test them as
they come along.
We're probably at the point where we don't all need to jump on these new
SNPs. All we need is for one of John's clan to test and one of the
Pennsylvania clan to test.
