Very interesting...her headstone definitely has 1845 as her
birthdate...wonder who provided the birthdate or if the 9 looked like a 5 to
the engraver.

As to the emails being blank...I responded to the messages in the same
format in which they were sent. This one I changed to plain text before
sending it out. Hope it is not blank as well!

Great that your class has 20 students . I know they will learn alot.

By the way --- Nancy C Cooley, daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Crider
Cooley, death certificate states that she was born 5 Sep 1849. I know that
sometimes grave stones are wrong. My grandfather states that he was born
1856 when in fact he was born 1865. Stone cutter must have reverse the
last two letters. If it was the stone cutters fault I wonder why my father
didn't have it corrected.

I forgot my reading glasses today, so I'm I'm blind as a bat! I got the
emails but I noticed that Mary has it set for
charset="UTF-8." This tells the receiving email program to try to
interpret the control characters. Maybe there's something about that that
confuses your setup.

Anyway, I've finally set up a test list with another copy of the script. I
can now start freely playing with it. I'm back in school though. Busy,
busy, busy. Tomorrow I start teaching the genealogy class for OLLI (Osher
Lifelong Learning Institute). There will be three sessions, two hours
each. And I'm at capacity with 20 students!

OLLI is an over-50 program. There are about 120 campuses across the
country, so there may be one near you. The offerings will change from one
campus to the next. There's a lot of local history stuff here. One
instructor's bridge class is filled to capacity.

More later when I can better see what I'm doing.
