Cowley, DNA, Derbyshire, and the Jacobites

I wrote a paper in college three years ago about Culloden Moor and the
Jacobite uprising. At the beginning of this Derbyshire / DNA / Cowley /
Hackett thing I thought Derby sounded like the place where the Bonnie
Prince's army turned back toward Scotland. I checked my paper and some
notes and found nothing. Well, I've just looked to my favorite research
tool, google, and came up with this:

Most of you will remember that Chuck Cooley grew up with the story that
the Cooleys were Jacobites. This is all still speculative, but worth
looking at.
